WildThings NSW is a not-for-profit organisation based in Sydney, Australia with a goal to promote, protect and enhance biodiversity in Ku-ring-gai and New South Wales (NSW). Biodiversity includes all the variety of life that can be found on earth such as fauna and flora (plants and animals) and their habitat, including soil, seedbanks and water as well as the communities that they form.

Ku-ring-gai is a local government area in northern Greater Sydney in the state of New South Wales (NSW), Australia and is known as “Sydney’s Green Heart”. WildThings NSW also works very closely with Ku-ring-gai Council which actively promotes a culture of protecting and improving biodiversity.

WildThings NSW links in with many like-minded organisations around the world to protect and improve our biodiversity including progressing the United Nations Sustainable   Development Goals (SDGs) in particular, SDGs 14 and 15https://www.un.org/en/sustainable-development-goals

The 2014 Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) Biodiversity Book describes five core and interacting values that humans place on biodiversity. These are ecological life support, economic, recreation, cultural and scientific. https://www.csiro.au/en/research/natural-environment

Any loss or deterioration in the condition of biodiversity can compromise all these values and affect human well-being.

2022 WildThings NSW Virtual Welded Art Biodiversity Photographic Exhibition and Digital Collection

WildThings NSW decided to hold the 2022 WildThings NSW Virtual Welded Art Biodiversity Photographic Exhibition and Digital Collection of biodiversity-related photographic exhibits from around the world.

A key objective was to raise greater promotion and awareness to people of all ages worldwide of the need to protect the world’s life supporting biodiversity. We request organisations and individuals to promote the concept of welded art to encourage the strengthening of biodiversity in your country. This could include holding exhibitions and competitions, showcasing local artists.

We have more than 30 exhibits from eight countries, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Serbia, South Africa, Spain, UK and USA. We thank all the artists who have enthusiastically supported the exhibition by generously sharing photographs and information on their sculptures with us.

This Exhibition and Digital Collection is dedicated to the many wonderful people across the world who are working to protect and improve the biodiversity of the planet, as well as those WildThings NSW members, past and present, who have selflessly given up their time over the years as volunteers to meet this objective.

Please view the Collection by clicking this link >>> 2022 WildThings NSW Virtual Welded Art Collection

We would love you to promote it to your networks for the health of the planet’s biodiversity.
